Delicious Pizza Recipe


This is to give you an idea of how to go about making pizza in your first attempt. If you have tried making it before and you are not entirely pleased with what you have accomplished so far, you can and will get better!

Making pizza is pretty easy, you just need to use the right ingredients and get creative with the process of combining them.


Ingredients for the base (pizza dough):


. Flour

. Yeast

. Pinch of salt

. 1 or 2 spoonfuls of oil

. Water


In a medium-large bowl:


Gradually add the dry ingredients (flour and a pinch of salt) to suit the size of dough you're looking for.


In a cup:


Put in lukewarm water, a teaspoon of yeast and 2 spoonfuls of oil. Stir well and let it foam a bit.


In the medium-large bowl:


Gradually add the liquid content from the cup and mix. Mix until your dough isn't sticky. Then gradually add flour as you knead. Remember, the dough must be smooth once you're done kneading. 


Once your dough is smooth, there are many ways of resting the dough, such as forming it into a spherical shape and :


1. Leave it in the medium-large bowl you were using and cover with a clean cloth.


2. Put it on the plate and cover with cling wrap and put it in the fridge for a longer time. Some recipes suggest a whole day but why take 24 hours+ to make something you want to enjoy now.


3. Put it on a plate, cover with cling wrap and let it rest in the refrigerator for atleast 2 hours.


I opt for option 3 because it's quicker and still effective.


TIP💡:

Remember, TO ALWAYS WORK ON A SURFACE COVERED BY FLOUR, to avoid your dough sticking on the surface you are working on.


[After the resting period is over]

Knead your dough one last time, form the spherical shape and roll it out.


*Time for the toppings*


Use toppings that compliment one another but most importantly, grab a few times at your local store and work with what you have.


Sauces for the base:


*Basic Tomato Sauce

*Garlic Sauce

*Barbecue Sauce


You can use one of the three or even all.


Toppings (flavour choices) :


*Bacon and Peppers

*Sausage and Peppers

*Chicken and Mushrooms

*Mince and Peppers

*Mash up - a mix of any of the above ingredients. Usually the last pizza to finish the ingredients and it tastes fantastic.


Cut these ingredients to suit the size of toppings. Make sure to cut the sausage into thin slices that look like Pepperoni.


- Sauce the base

- Add your choice of toppings

- Then bake the pizza until you can see the ingredients are nearly looking done

- Then add your grated choice of cheese now


When the chesse has completely melted, your pizza is ready.


Take it out, slice it up and enjoy.

Many recipes provide strict guidelines for the quantity of the ingredients you use, which in turn puts alot of pressure on someone who's new to kitchen or someone making something they've never done before. My solution to that minor setback is that I compare all the available recipes to see what best suits me. Once I've seen how things are done, I then utilize all the important ingredients and start getting creative. Do not succumb to that pressure and always make sure you have a good time in the kitchen.
